Coroner identifies motorcyclist killed in Marlboro County crash

MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A motorcyclist died Monday evening in a crash near Clio in Marlboro County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Darius Grant, 22, died in the crash, Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown told News13.

It happened at about 7:55 p.m. on Highway 9 at Zion Church Street when a 2014 Honda went off the right side of the road while traveling north and hit a culvert, Lance Cpl. Brittany Glover said.

Grant was the only person on the motorcycle, Glover said. No additional information was immediately available.
