Skip Bayless is officially set to exit FS1’s Undisputed . According to The New York Post , Bayless, 72, will be stepping down from the popular sports debate show.

FS1 is expected to move forward with the show in its new format, which includes Keyshawen Johnson and Michael Irvin as rotating panelists. The outlet reports that Skip previously inked a four-year, $32 million deal with FS1 in 2021. The veteran sports pundit has yet to comment on the news.

Since June 2023, Undisputed arguably failed to capture the same magic it had with Bayless and Shannon Sharpe. Sharpe left the network that same month in an episode most remembered by the amount of tears that the athlete shed. Although there was palpable friction between the two men, Sharpe and Bayless hashed out their differences before the former NFL player left for good .

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is officially my last day at work,” Sharpe announced almost a year ago. “After seven years, the train stops for Shannon Sharpe and Undisputed right here…You fought for me [Skip], I am here because of you. You allowed me to share the stage with you, you allowed me to share the platform. I’ll never forget what you did for me. All I ask is when you lay your head on your pillow at night, know I gave you everything I had.”

After Sharpe departed the program, he landed a deal at ESPN to join Stephen A. Smith on First Take . In June 2024, the Super Bowl champion would ink another multi-year deal with the network , expanding his role on the show. The deal will also allow him to work on other unnamed shows across ESPN .

“Being a part of this family has been a blessing. Everything about this relationship with ESPN , Stephen A., and First Take , has been tremendous. I look forward to expanding my role and showing more of the world what I have to offer. The show goes on!”

As Sharpe landed on his feet after leaving Undisputed , it’ll be interesting to see where Skip goes.
