OKLAHOMA (KOAM) -- The Attorney General's Office is accepting applications for new sheriff office assistance grants.

According to the Attorney General's Office, counties can apply for grants from $150,000 to $300,000 depending on the total tangible property valuation.

"This funding will help enhance law enforcement services throughout our state," Attorney General Gentner Drummond said. "I'm pleased we are able to help sheriff's offices strengthen their operations on behalf of public safety."

The Attorney General's Office says the grants can be used for sheriff office operations including training, technology, equipment, and capital improvements.

The application deadline is September 6, 2024 at 5 p.m. and can be filled out here.
