Formula 1 has announced the six Grands Prix that will host sprint races during the 2025 season, starting with the Chinese Grand Prix on March 21-23.Miami on 2-4 May, Belgium on 25-27 July, the US Grand Prix on 17-19 October, Brazil on 7-9 November and Qatar on 28-30 November will host the other five.“The sprint has been a great success for Formula 1, bringing all our fans more action and racing on the track. We are seeing the proof of this in our audience data, fan attendance on Fridays and from the promoters and partners,” said Stefano Domenicali, F1 Chairman. China, which is the second race on the calendar, Miami, Austin, Brazil and Qatar are also sprint races this season, with Belgium hosting such a race in 2023.F1 released figures that indicated that audiences are higher for Grands Prix that have sprint races as opposed to those with the standard format. The current sprint format, which includes qualifying on Friday to set the grid for the race on Saturday, followed by qualifying for Sunday’s Grand Prix, will be kept for 2025.F1 is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2025, with Domenicali noting it as a chance to bring “new elements to our sport in a way that is respectful of the championship”.
