Poll: Where's your favorite place to beat the heat in the Coachella Valley?

It's that time of year when the Coachella Valley feels about as hot as the surface of the sun — not to be hyperbolic — and, in turn, it feels like there's nothing to do.

I know, it's tempting to stay in your air-conditioned home ( the ceiling fan is so nice ). But if you dare step foot outside the comfort of your summer cave, you'll realize how many (literally) cool activities await you.

So where's the best spot in the Coachella Valley to beat the heat? We asked our Desert Sun team members to put their heads together, and they came up with a list of their go-to spots to cool off including everything from the obvious — the Palm Desert Aquatics Center, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway — to a few spots you might not have thought of.
