Dance Moms star Christi Lukasiak 'arrested for DUI after crashing vehicle into a tree'

Dance Moms' Christi Lukasiak was arrested after a car crush for allegedly driving under the influence. according to TMZ .

Police reportedly claimed that she crashed into a tree, causing a telephone pole to dangle over her vehicle on June 27. Additionally, Christi apparently was seen with bloodshot and glassy eyes. Police on the seen claimed that she smelled of alcohol on her breath and was exhibiting slurred speech.

She took a breathalyzer test which gave a positive result. However, she claims that she only had two glasses of wine before getting behind the wheel. At the scene a police officer determined that it wasn't safe for her to be operating a vehicle based on field sobriety tests.

Christi's claim to fame is her time on Dance Moms when her daughter, Chloe Lukasiak, was being coached by Abby Lee Miller. The mom and coach didn't typically get along as Christi accused Abby of bullying her daughter. Ultimately, Chloe was yanked from the team.

Despite the mother-daughter duo's exit, Chloe did return for the Dance Moms reunion special. Chloe explained to Buzzfeed that she put thought into the decision before signing on. She said: "Honestly, and not in an arrogant way at all, but I knew they would be talking about all of the cast members, anyway. So I was like, I'd rather be there and be able to take control of my narrative."

Christi, on the other hand, had limited involvement in the project as she wasn't able to attend due to other commitments. She explained: "So, I was very much still a part of it. I just wasn't on location. But I was getting the details from all sorts of different people throughout the day, like from various producers, from the kids, from the moms. I very much felt like I was part of it for sure. And it killed me not to be there. Because, like Chloé said, you've got to speak up and say your piece."

In the aftermath of Dance Moms, Chloe seems to be recovering and moving on with her life. Chloe graduated from Pepperdine University and still stays connected to dance. Plus, she still keeps in contact with some of the other girls from the show, including Nia Sioux who she posted a reunion get-together online with.
