Sheriff Abbett emphasized the app’s potential to improve public safety and community engagement. “This app represents a significant step forward in our efforts to connect with the community and provide timely information,” Abbett stated. “We are committed to using technology to enhance our services and ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.”

The app was developed by TheSheriffApp.com, a brand of OCV, LLC., which specializes in creating mobile apps for public safety organizations. Kevin Cummings, OCV Partner and CRO, highlighted the importance of mobile technology in today’s society.

“With over 80 percent of Americans using smartphones, mobile apps offer a superior way to alert, inform, and prepare the public,” Cummings explained. “Our goal is to help public safety agencies reach and serve their citizens where they are: on their smartphones.”

The Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Office app is now available for download on both iOS and Android platforms. Residents and visitors are encouraged to download the app to stay informed and connected with the latest updates from the Sheriff’s Office.
