Skip Bayless is parting ways with Fox Sports: The veteran sports commentator will exit Undisputed at the end of the summer, The New York Post reports.

Bayless previously hosted ESPN’s First Take , opposite fellow bloviator Stephen A. Smith. After 12 years at the network, he left for a deal with Fox Sports, where he launched Undisputed with Shannon Sharpe in 2016.

During his stint at ESPN, Bayless was notorious for his criticisms of LeBron James. He frequently would refer to the NBA all-star as “Prince” because he did not think James was worthy of his “King James” moniker. Throughout his time at Fox Sports, Bayless has also been critical of New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and came under fire in 2020 for belittling Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott’s disclosed bout of depression , stemming from his older brother Jace’s suicide.

In 2021, Bayless inked a four-year, $32 million contract extension with Fox Sports. Two years later, Sharpe would exit Undisputed after Bayless implied that his criticism of Tom Brady stemmed from jealousy over Brady’s longevity in the NFL. Sharpe then inked a deal with ESPN, where he currently appears on First Take with Bayless’ former co-host, Smith.

TVLine has reached out to Bayless’ reps and Fox Sports for confirmation of his imminent departure. An airdate for his final episode has not yet been disclosed.
