Joe Scarborough Goes OFF on NBC Colleague Lester Holt’s Biden Interview: ‘Talk About Phony Moral Relativism!’

Well, the NBC News company picnic will be fascinating this year!

On the very same morning that Joe Scarborough openly talked about how “very disappointed” he was in NBC Execs who pulled Morning Joe from MSNBC airwaves Monday morning, he also attacked NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt for”phony moral relativism” in his questioning of President Joe Biden.

Scarborough appeared to be in some mood following the surprise preempting of his titular morning show in lieu of breaking news coverage, blasting NBC honchos for the decision. Following that stunning moment, he introduced Rev. Al Sharpton to discuss Holt’s interview with Biden, particularly about potentially irresponsible political rhetoric.

Holt challenged Biden on saying he’d like to put a “bullseye” on Trump, to which Biden appeared to apologize and defend, explaining he was talking about focusing on the former president, not putting him under the “crosshairs.”

“We just need to talk about that line of questioning from NBC’s Lester Holt,” Scarborough said to Sharpton. “It was an important question to ask about what President Biden said in a private fundraiser to donors. And it’s a question I would have asked. I think any of us would have asked that question. But to ask that question without any context about the politically violent rhetoric — that Republicans had been engaged in for close to a decade now?”

“And we can talk about Nancy Pelosi. We can talk about the assassinations of the chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the hangings of Mike Pence,” he continued. “We could go on and on and on, and we could talk about it on both sides again.”

“A good question to ask about what he said in a private fundraiser. A good question to ask. I would have asked the same question, but to ask that question, absent of any context, seems to me to be you talk about a phony moral relativism!”

“What’s going on?” a confused Mika Brzezinski sighed in the background

“I was just screaming throughout that part of the interview,” Scarborough added, “and I must say, I was shocked.“
