NATCHEZ, Miss. ( WJTV ) – The Adams County Board of Supervisors approved funding for a needs assessment exploring the county jail.

The Natchez Democrat reported Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten requested the supervisors to fund a $68,760 needs assessment for the jail. The supervisors approved the funds in a 4-1 vote on Monday, July 15.

The process will discover what kind of facility, what size facility and what staff are needed to fulfill the community’s needs for the jail.
