Royal Caribbean is constantly outdoing themselves when it comes to cruise ships. Less than a year after their new ship Icon of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world, set off on its maiden voyage, the company is about to launch another brand-new mega-ship: Utopia of the Seas, which will embark on sailings throughout the Caribbean starting July 19.

As with all Royal Caribbean ships, guests have tons of stateroom options to choose from. But guests who really want to splurge can go all-out and book a cruise in the Solarium Suite, an extravagant new stateroom that's only available on Utopia of the Seas. Prepared to be awestruck:

This isn't just another cruise cabin - this is a penthouse at sea! Seriously, were it not for the panoramic ocean views outside the windows, I wouldn't have guessed this was on a cruise ship. The Solarium Suite might be one of the most lavish staterooms that @royalcaribbean has ever produced, and with Royal Caribbean's penchant for doing everything big and bold, that's saying something.

    Space For Days

Cramped cruise ship cabins can often make guests feel claustrophobic, but that's not a problem in the Solarium Suite. The living room and dining area alone look about as big as 2-3 standard mid-tier staterooms combined, and with it, you get a full dining set, an enormous curving couch that looks about 12 feet long minimum, and a 280-degree view of the ocean from the room's floor-to-ceiling windows. The suite's bedroom also has unobstructed ocean views with a perfect vantage point from the king-sized bed. What a way to wake up!

The marble-tiled bathroom is also a sight to behold. This thing is huge, with his-and-hers sinks, a separate toilet area, and possibly the largest shower I've ever seen in a cruise ship suite. This lavish bathroom alone could have sold me, but considering the rest of suite that it's attached to (plus all of the ample storage space included), it's just the cherry on top!

    Solarium Suite Perks

As you might have noticed, the only thing the Solarium Suite doesn't have is its own balcony. If you want to feel those sea breezes, though, don't worry. According to a Royal Caribbean press release , the top half of the Solarium Suite's floor-to-ceiling windows roll down with the push of a button, essentially turning your entire room into a balcony!

If you still crave the traditional on-deck cruise experience, though, don't worry. As noted in the video, Solarium Suite guests get direct access to the ship's adults-only Solarium, with a private pool and an expansive sun deck overlooking the waves.

The Solarium Suite is also a Royal Class Star Suite, which means that its guests have access to a ton of exclusive perks. These Royal Class Star benefits include (but are by no means limited to) complimentary specialty dining and deluxe beverage packages, exclusive Royal Genie concierge service, expedited boarding and departure, and tons of en-suite amenities. They're not skimping on luxury here!

Obviously, an experience this deluxe doesn't come cheap. The Royal Caribbean Blog reported that a four-night sailing from November 3 of next year would cost $3,788 per person in the Solarium Suite. Say what you will about the price tag, though, there's no denying that you get your money's worth.
