“Music is an incredibly powerful tool for individuals struggling with addiction,” said Lantana Recovery Health Expert and Executive Director Lindsay Richerson. “Through music therapy, recovering individuals can express their emotions, reduce stress and anxiety, and build self-esteem, all of which are crucial for recovery. While every recovery experience is unique, it is universal that music serves as a bridge to deeper emotional connections and healing. By utilizing the universal language of music, therapy provides a non-invasive way to connect with patients on a deeper emotional level. It helps regulate emotions and allows individuals to speak openly about their experiences through creative expression, all without the fear of judgment.”
