Daisy Edgar Jones , the actress who shot to fame for her lead role in BBC's adaption of Sally Rooney's best-selling novel Normal People alongside Paul Mescal , has sent fans spiraling after crying on Hot Ones .

The 26-year-old, who is currently promoting blockbuster Twisters with co-star Glen Powell, appeared on the YouTube show hosted by content creator Sean Evans , who puts celebs through their paces with spicy sauces.

The stars chase down tornadoes together in the new action-packed thriller , released in US theaters on Friday, but in the latest episode, were forced to play truth or dare - the dare being to polish off some sweat-inducing wings .

From Glen's on-screen kissing abilities to Daisy's first-ever celebrity crush , the pair went head-to-head to take home the much coveted chicken wing trophy, but the heat ended up getting to Daisy , and even reduced her to tears.

Posting a series of clips to Instagram where Daisy can be seen looking distressed, the Where the Crawdads Sing woman wrote: "Live footage of my taste buds being burned off. Thanks for having us, Hot Ones!"

The caption tickled fans, but more so Normal People fans, who could relate to Daisy's upset from the way they felt after watching the 2020 show which follows lovers Marianne and Connell as they navigate adolescence together.
