The 33-year-old actress beat her mom to the punch when she announced the happy news on Instagram on Tuesday, alongside a sweet pic of her and her now-fiance, Cody John. In the photo, Roberts smiles with one hand wrapped around her man and the other showing off her new rock.
"putting this here before my mom tells everyone ❤️," Roberts captioned her post.
Fans and friends flooded Roberts' post with congratulations.
At the time, a source told ET that Roberts and the In the Dark actor had been dating since the summer.
"She's been very content with Cody and they're enjoying their relationship and time together," the source said. "Their friends and family are happy for the both of them and think they make a great couple."

John then made his debut on Roberts' Instagram that New Year’s Eve. The American Horror Story star shared a picture of them walking together, hand-in-hand.
"#2022 I loved you ❤️ happy new year hotties! 🪩 🥂," she captioned the post.
Since then, Roberts and John have kept their relationship fairly private, apart from a few public outings and posts on social media .
"Emma and Garrett are totally done romantically and Emma has been dating and doing her own thing," the source shared. "Emma loves being a mom and she takes great pride in it."
The source also said Roberts and Hedlund "grew apart when Garrett was away working" but "they are still co-parenting, and still doing things as a family."

Luckily, Roberts' current relationship has helped her and Hedlund's co-parenting relationship.
"It's been easy for Emma to co-parent with Garrett in a healthy way because she is so happy," a source told ET in October 2022.
