Anderson .Paak has a lot of labels: rapper, producer, singer, musician, DJ. Now he's adding yet another to the list, Jameson Music Distiller .

The California native just announced that he has teamed up with the iconic whiskey label on a new project that promises to bring artists from "around the world" to Ireland.

The plan is to connect artists, experiment with genres, and create new music on the Emerald Isle. Paak seems stoked about the whole thing, posting an energetic video about the announcement to his social media pages on Tuesday.

In the video, he dresses up in the '70s style costume that he wears when performing as part of Silk Sonic, the superduo band he shares with Bruno Mars.

He speaks to another version of himself wearing his DJ Pee .Wee clothing, with the camera flipping between the two characters.

"Me and Jameson have linked up," he says in the clip. "We got artists from all over the world coming together, collaborating, making something new in Ireland."

He continues: "We selected some of the most exciting artists from India, the UK, Nigeria, South Korea, Italy, Spain, Australia. It's lit!"

The project is called Jameson Distilled Sounds and the company said that it will be a multi-year initiative. Paak is apparently heading up just the first installment of many.

"Meet our Music Distiller, Anderson .Paak. The chart-topping, Grammy Award-winning artist is known for being the King of Collaboration," Jameson says on a new website launched for the project.

"Now, he’s bringing his music expertise to Jameson Distilled Sounds. Anderson will be joining forces with our family of local musicians from around the world, to help them distill their sounds, connect and collaborate. The transition from local legend to global superstar has never been so smooth!"

Paak said: "I’ve never been part of a program like this before. Jameson has a real ambition to shift the music industry from what we know it as, to something that I think we need more of.

"From my experience, the best music comes from real life connections so I’m excited to help bring all of these amazing artists together."
