Max is once again betting on Sebastian Maniscalco and Chuck Lorre to bring the laughs, as the pair's comedy series Bookie is coming back for season 2. After premiering in fall 2023 to strong reviews (it is one of our favorite Max original series to date), get ready for more antics from Maniscalco's Danny and his cohorts as they try to make a living through the sports gambling scene in Los Angeles.
"We couldn't be more excited that Max listened to their gut, paid the juice, and let it ride on season two of Bookie ," Lorre and series co-creator Nick Bakay said after the series was renewed. Warner Bros. TV Group Chairman Channing Dungey added, "There's no doubt that Chuck and Nick's Bookie won big this season as they took us on a hilarious ride into the underbelly of illegal sports gambling, featuring a cast led by another dynamic duo: Sebastian Maniscalco and Omar J. Dorsey. I'm looking forward to watching more of their antics in season two."

Bookie season 2 release date
Max has not confirmed a release date for Bookie season 2 at this time, however, Chuck Lorre has seemingly dished that new episodes are going to arrive before the end of 2024.
Speaking with The Wrap at a Television Critics Association summer press event, Lorre said the show is expected to premiere sometime in December: "I believe it debuts in December, I've been told, and it's awesome."
That would fall into a similar time frame for Bookie season 1 , which debuted on November 30. It's unclear at this time if season 2's release schedule would follow the two-episode-a-week strategy that season 1 did.
While we wait for official word and the show's ultimate arrival, you can watch all of Bookie season 1 exclusively on Max in the US.

Bookie season 2 cast
It is fully expected that the main cast of Bookie will all be returning for season 2. That is headlined by Sebastian Maniscalco, best known for his stand-up comedy and who has also starred in movies like IF , Unfrosted , About My Father and Somewhere in Queens .
The rest of the Bookie cast includes:

- Vanessa Ferlito ( Griselda ) as Lorraine

Some other recurring stars who could be in line to return are Arnetia Walker and Rob Corddry. And if season 1 was any indication, we could be in line for some fun guest stars as well.
Bookie season 2 plot
Max has not released any official details for the Bookie season 2 plot, but as a reminder here is the synopsis for the series:
"This darkly funny comedy follows veteran Los Angeles bookie Danny as the potential legalization of sports gambling in California threatens to upend his business for good. Alongside best friend and former NFL player Ray, side-hustling sister Lorraine and reluctantly reformed drug dealer Hector, Danny must contend with his increasingly unstable clients as he tries to settle their debts — all while making plenty of risky bets of his own. Full of relatable mishaps, Bookie chronicles one man's journey to adapt to an ever-changing world as he attempts to charm and con his way to the top."
