Actress Emma Roberts has announced her engagement to her boyfriend, Cody John.
The American Horror Story star shared a post on Instagram on Tuesday that showed a photo of her and Cody smiling for the camera. Emma wore a flowy pink top and Cody was in a blue button-up.
She had her arm wrapped around Cody's shoulders as she gleefully held up her left hand, showing off her circular engagement ring. "Putting this here before my mom tells everyone," she captioned the post and added a red heart emoji.

Her comments were flooded with congratulations for the couple, with actress Ashley Tisdale commenting: "CONGRATS!!" One fan wrote: "We love you queen + SO happy for you."
The couple went public with their relationship in August 2022. Cody posted a photo of the two on his Instagram, hard launching their relationship as the picture captured them kissing on a yacht.
Since then, Cody hasn't been shy about sharing photos of his now-fiancee on the social media site. For Emma's 33rd birthday in February, Cody shared a black and white photo of him kissing Emma's cheek as she stared at the camera. "Happy birthday teenie tiny," He lovingly captioned it.
Emma previously dated Garrett Hedlund from March 2019 to February 2022. The two share a son, Rhodes, who was born in December 2020.
The actress likes to keep her love life private and previously talked about what it's like dating as a public figure. In an interview with Cosmopolitan in May 2019, Emma said: "I never want to talk about relationships I’m in or that are ending or have ended. It’s hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience."
"Growing up is hard. Sometimes it makes me sad that I can’t have a private moment," she continued, "Because of Twitter and Instagram, there’s a whole other element where everybody can comment on what you’re doing, and no one knows the real story. That’s hard. … I know what’s true, and I know what happened in my own life, and so do the people that love me and who I love.”
Emma last talked about Cody in an interview with People, when she was asked when was the last time she was moved to tears. "I watched the movie The Iron Claw with my boyfriend, and the two of us were sobbing," she admitted.
