Check out these lists to find the first day of school in St. Clair, Sanilac counties

As summer winds down, parents and students are wondering the same thing: When is the first day of school?

Not every school district has its first day of school on the same day. Find your district in the list below to find out when the academic year starts.

St. Clair County

• The first day of school for Algonac Community Schools will be Sept. 3. It is a half day for all students.
• The first day of school for Capac Community Schools will be Aug. 26. It is a half day for all students.
• The first day of school for East China School District will be Sept. 3. It is a half day for all students
• The first day of school for Memphis Community Schools will be Sept. 3. It is half day for all students.
• The first day of school for Port Huron Area Schools will be Sept. 3. Elementary and middle school students will have a half day.
• The first day of school at Yale Public Schools will be Aug. 27.

Sanilac County

• Brown City Community Schools will have its first day of school on Aug. 26.
• Carsonville-Port Sanilac Community Schools will have its first day on Aug. 26.
• Croswell-Lexington Community Schools will have its first day of school on Aug. 26.
• Deckerville Community Schools will have its fist day of school on Aug. 26.
• Marlette Community Schools will have its first day on Aug. 26.
• Peck Community Schools will have its first day of school on Aug. 26.
• Sandusky Community Schools will have its first day of school on Aug. 26.
