There are tons of swoon-worthy Prime Day deals to shop this year, but parents will be particularly intrigued by this editor pick. For Amazon Prime Day 2024 , you can save a whopping 33 percent during an epic Nanit Pro Baby Monitor sale from July 16 through 17. For those who don’t know, the Nanit is a high-end baby monitor that our editors adore. In fact, it was named the Reader Favorite Monitor in PureWow’s 2024 Happy Baby Awards .
Read on for more details, and remember: You can only get the deal if you’re a Prime member, so be sure to sign up for a 30-day free trial to snag it.
Executive Editor Alexia Dellner tried the Nanit herself and rated it a 95/100 on the PureWow100 scale. “Because we’d been through a slew of bad monitors with my son, we knew exactly what we wanted from my daughter’s monitor when she was born: something that was reliable, easy-to-use and wouldn’t cause me more stress,” she writes in her review . “This thing is designed to make your life as a new parent so much easier, with clever features like the ability to check the temperature and humidity of the baby’s room at a glance, track stats and data on the Nanit app [like nap and wake times] and get remote alerts to see how your baby is sleeping with her sitter.”
The camera and wall mount (which Dellner asserts are super high quality, so much so that you can see if your baby’s eyes are open before you decide to get out of bed at the crack of dawn) also come with a breathing band that your baby wears. It can detect their breathing motions in nearly any sleep position, allowing the app to track breaths per minute and send relevant alerts to your phone.
Dellner also claims it’s a breeze to install, childproof wire coverings included. And if you’re worried about hacking, she wants to ease your concerns. “In theory, any smart baby monitor can be hacked,” she writes, “but The Nanit is equipped with security measures that make it unlikely that your worst nightmare comes true—the video is encrypted in transit, the app requires two-factor authentication and they update their firmware regularly.”
While it’s pricier than other baby monitors, it’s arguably the most reliable option on the market, meaning you and your newborn will get better sleep. And it’s $100 off for Prime Day 2024, so if you’re on the fence, there’s no better time to make the leap.
