CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — As the attempted recovery and reopening of Clay County governmental offices continues following a ransomware attack, some deadlines have been extended regarding taxes.

Those who make their payments after July 23 at 2 p.m. by cash or certified check will have their parcels and names listed in the newspaper ad that shows what parcels will be included in the sale. Those who make payments before that deadline will not be printed in the newspaper.

Residents will also have until September 17 at 12 p.m. to pay any arrears in taxes to prevent the parcel from being sold in the sale.
