The MLB All-Stars were out and about on this year's Red Carpet, and of course, they showed out in the outfit department. Among the simple suits are some gems that stand out and some that may have missed the mark.

Whether it's their first All-Star weekend, a-la Paul Skenes, or fourth, like Shohei Ohtani, the bar for fashion is high. It's a chance for these men, who are most often seen in baseball pants and a jersey, to showcase their personalities as much as their clothing taste. From sunglasses to jewelry, several stars found ways to spice up their outfits this year.

The Sporting News kept up with the 2024 MLB All-Star fits and we have some thoughts. Here's who stunned and who fumbled this year's Red Carpet.

Best and worst MLB All-Star Red Carpet outfits

    Shohei Ohtani

What's better than a plain brown suit? A plain brown suit with a dog stitched into the inside. Shohei Ohtani upped his game from last year's All-Star game where he sported a simple gray suit by bringing along his dog Decoy in the lining of his jacket.

Aside from toting Decoy onto the Red Carpet, Ohtani is accompanied by his wife, Mamiko, who looks elegant as ever in a silky white dress. All in all, they look great together. Nothing too flashy in keeping with Ohtani's calm demeanor, but the addition of his dog definitely stacks on an element of fun and a little look into the star's life outside of the diamond.

    Paul Skenes

Yet another All-Star and his lady, Paul Skenes and Livvy Dunne cleaned up nice for the Red Carpet. Skenes looks clean-cut in his blindingly white suit with simple black accents including some cool looking shades.

Dunne stuns at his side in a sparkly grey number, clearly understanding the assignment. No one expected any less from the power couple as Skenes prepares to take the mound tonight as the National League's starting pitcher.

    Adley Rutschman

Dolled up in Dolce & Gabbana and Saint Laurent, Adley Rutschman has mastered the art of the subtle detail. At first glance, he looks as though he's wearing a plain white button-up and black pants, but some simple additions really elevate the fit.

Rutschman sports some blingy jewelry around his neck and some fun tassels in place of his shirt collar to spice things up. His boots have some detailing as well, and the sunglasses, like Skenes, dress it down a bit. It's nothing too flashy, but it shows that Rutschman has a few tricks up his sleeve.
