Free dental clinic coming to Wise County July 19-20

WISE COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — A free dental clinic will take place in Wise County on July 19 and 20.

The Mission of Mercy dental clinic will offer free dental services including cleanings, fillings, oral surgery and x-rays at the event. Limited denture repairs, relines and simple partials will also be available.

The event will run on Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. at UVA-Wise’s Convocation Center. Pre-registration begins on Thursday at noon.

Those wishing to receive service are encouraged to arrive early. No overnight parking on the UVA-Wise campus is allowed.

Attendees are asked to wear comfortable clothes and to bring food and drink for the day.

“We are honored to return to Wise County to serve the community,” VDAF executive director Tara Quinn said in a news release. “If you haven’t been to the dentist in more than six months or are experiencing oral pain, please join us next month. Our incredible volunteer dental teams will provide compassionate care to everyone who joins us. Care will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.”

The Virginia Dental Association Foundation organizes the free clinic.
