According to a July 16th report from The-Sun.com, the once-mighty retail force is shuttering one of its last stores, this one in Stockton's Webserstown Mall.

As excerpted from the report: Sears has confirmed it will permanently shut down one of its remaining locations in a few weeks. The iconic department store will wave farewell to its historic branch in Stockton, California - located around 50 miles from the state capital Sacramento - on August 16.

A replacement entity for the closing Sears location has not yet been announced.
