Giving birth can be a frightening time. You never know how things will go down, so it helps to have a solid support system in place. This is true for Savannah Snow cat Khaleesi who just needs a little reassurance from Mom that everything will be alright.
The sweet TikTok video shared by Kind Savannahs ( @kindsavannahs ) shows the moment mom-to-be Khaleesi politely asks Mom for a little comfort while she's in labor and it's truly a special sight. Watch the sweet interaction below!
In the video captioned, "Khaleesi is a Snow Savannah and refuses to give birth alone," the Savannah Snow Cat stands in her birthing center (aka a giant metal tub complete with cozy blankets and a box). As labor pains press on, Khaleesi bellows the sweetest little "meow" as if asking for help. Mom steps inside and follows the kitty into the box to give plenty of encouraging pets to help things along. It's the truest example of love and support.
Khaleesi has a lot of people rooting for her and many took the time to note this beautiful moment.
"Now, I just got sad thinking of all the momma kitties that are alone in the world. Birth is so scary. She's so loving and trusting with you it's so beautiful," one person wrote. "
"I would be laying in there with her too. You’re such a good cat mama who raised a good cat mama! She cares about her babies she wants your help," another said.
"Oh Khaleesi, I wish I could be by your side. You've got your human mama to help you. You are going to be a great mom," another aded.
Motherhood suits you, Khaleesi!

How Long Is Labor For Cats?
Helping a mama cat deliver kittens isn't for the faint of heart! It takes preparation and planning, because things can change at any point. It's unknown how long Khaleesi had been in labor up to the point of calling our for Mom, but in general, they can go through it anywhere between 4-16 hours and the process goes in stages. The Auburn Animal Hospital says labor and delivery typically begins with your cat becoming restless and anxious with panting and pacing for 6-12 hours.
The second stage is when the work of giving birth begins, and the first kitten should be delivered within 1-2 hours of contractions onset with the rest very soon after. If labor doesn't progress, it's important to contact the vet right away to prevent a potentially fatal outcome.
However long Khaleesi remained in labor, we're sure she's going to be the best mom!
