Fire at Rocky Hill home under investigation

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — Investigators are working to determine what caused a fire at a home that is believed to be under remodeling in the Rocky Hill community Tuesday afternoon.

According to Rural Metro, firefighters responded to a home in the 7700 block of Queensbury Drive around 1 p.m. When they arrived, crews found a single-family house with heavy smoke coming from the Eaves and garage area.

No one was home at the time of the fire. Crews were able to force entry into the home through the locked front door and extinguished the fire, but the home sustained heavy damage.

Rural Metro said the home is believed to be undergoing a remodel. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
