New Goochland Elementary School to host ribbon-cutting ceremony, open house

GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Goochland County Public Schools will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for the new Goochland Elementary School on Thursday.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at the new school, located at 2000 Bulldog Way, at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 16. The community can tour the building until 7 p.m. that evening.

According to the school district, the new Goochland Elementary School will replace 67-year-old original school, providing room for growth in the future.

Construction for the new school began at the start of 2023 . Now, the school is set to open for students on the first day of the 2024-25 school year in August.
