CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Emergency crews were busy battling a third alarm fire in Cumberland County on Tuesday afternoon, amid the triple digit heat and high wind.

Firefighters from multiple surrounding counties made their way to a home on Logan’s Run in East Pennsboro Township.

Two homes suffered heavy damage by the fire that started at the one building and made its way over to the other, firefighters at the scene said. Neighbors reportedly jumped in to help prevent the fire from spreading.

“Thank God for good neighbors like I have here, they came up and rang my doorbell and actually warned me of the fire. Helped me grab my dogs, put them in their house, and then right away helped me grab hoses and started hosing my house down, and make sure everybody else was out of the other houses,” resident Austin Reynolds said.

There are no injuries reported from fighting the blaze.
