Dollar General Market proposed for southern Montgomery County

MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — A new grocery store could soon be constructed in southern Montgomery County.

According to the final development plan submitted to Miami Township, the proposed Dollar General Market would sit along Byers Road and north of Austin Boulevard in Miami Township.

Plans for the new business call for a 10,640 square foot building and over 30 parking spaces.

Alex Carlson, director of community development for Miami Township, confirmed to 2 NEWS that the Miami Twp. Zoning Commission voted 4-0 to recommend the approval of the plan.

On the company’s website , the Dollar General Market concept could include fresh produce and meats, refrigerated and frozen products, dairy, general merchandise and more.

During the Miami Twp. Board of Trustees meeting on August 7, Carlson says the case will be transferred from the Zoning Commission to trustees for their “final review.”
