WWE Summerslam: Rhea Ripley not expected for in-ring action prior to PLE, per report

Holding your breath to see Rhea Ripley step back into the squared circle for any sort of warm up before Summerslam will result in death by asphyxiation. That’s because while Mami has officially returned to begin her Brutality Tour against Liv Morgan, the two having now agreed to title combat on Aug. 3 in Cleveland, the former WWE Women’s Champion has not been cleared medically.

That means, per PW Insider , she isn’t allowed to throw hands between now and Summerslam, no matter how much she wants to and no matter how much her aura might push Liv Morgan to find the nearest exit whenever possible.

By then, Ripley will have been out of action for roughly four months since suffering her shoulder injury at the hands of Morgan.

That doesn’t mean she can’t continue to cut insanely fire promos though, making sure the hype for her match with Liv Morgan is at fever pitch by the time the PLE rolls around.

As a related aside, it also gives Jey Uso time to try and continue wooing her, but that’s another story — at least for now.

Liv Morgan’s Revenge Tour has been a resounding success on every fathomable level, having compromised “Dirty” Dom Mysterio as well as, to a very real degree, both JD McDonough and Finn Balor; whom she helped regain the WWE Tag Team Championships.

It’s Revenge meets Brutality in Cleveland but, until then, it’s a whole lot of mic work.
