Prime Video’s Young Sherlock series is bolstering its ensemble with a Hollywood heavyweight.

Colin Firth will play Sir Bucephalus Hodge in the upcoming series from veteran director Guy Ritchie, our sister site Deadline reports. Additional character details have not yet been revealed.

Adapted from Andy Lane’s Young Sherlock Holmes books and written by Matthew Parkhill ( Deep State ), the show reimagines the titular detective as a 19-year-old “disgraced” and “unfiltered” young man embroiled in a murder mystery at Oxford University which threatens his freedom. He’ll delve into his first case with a lack of discipline and uncover a “globe-trotting conspiracy” that will change his life.

Previously announced cast includes Hero Fiennes Tiffin (of the After films) as Sherlock, Joseph Fiennes and Natascha McElhone as his parents, and Zine Tseng as Princess Gulun Shou’an.
