What an officer saw before the shooting

A local police officer was hoisted by his partner to the roof of the building where he spotted a gunman moments before the deadly shooting at Donald Trump's campaign rally in Pennsylvania, a local law enforcement official said Tuesday. The officer was forced to drop down when the shooter pointed his weapon at him. The Secret Service also said the agency was "deeply grateful" to local police officers for their efforts − and denied blaming local authorities for the attack that left Trump wounded, one rallygoer dead and two others critically injured. 🔍 Here's the latest on the investigation.

    Oh say, can you sing?

Every so often, a video of a singer delivering the national anthem goes viral – and not for a good reason. It just happened again. This time, it was country music star Ingrid Andress’ rendition before the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby on Monday. Andress said Tuesday that she was drunk during her performance and would be checking herself into a rehab facility. Before her announcement, critics flocked to social media to compare Andress to equally memorable “Star-Spangled Banner” performances before big games, including the likes of Fergie’s 2018 NBA All Star game miss. But plenty of singers have struggled with the song. So why does it keep happening? Well, in part because the song is notoriously difficult to sing.
