Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams.

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has recently been the subject of trade rumors, but it appears he's not going anywhere.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Adams' agents, Kenny Chapman and Frank Bauer, released a statement Tuesday addressing the trade speculation. They said it was "baseless" and there has been "no trade talk."

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently said , "[I] can't wait to play with [Adams] again" while playing golf at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, Nevada (h/t: the New York Post's Bradley Locker).

Of course, Adams and Rodgers played together for eight seasons with the Green Bay Packers, combining for 12 Pro Bowl appearances.

"[Rodgers is] in the ear, that's for sure, he's in the ear," Adams recently said on FanDuel's "Up and Adams." "But it's not as easy. Obviously, we can get together and talk about the old times and the potential of doing this and that, but like I said, I'm a Raider, and he knows that."

Former Raiders running back Josh Jacobs — who signed a four-year, $48M deal with the Packers in free agency — texted Adams about coming back to Green Bay. Adams told him, "I don't think I'll be coming back over there."

It's easy to see why teammates want to reunite with the 31-year-old pass-catcher. Adams leads active players in touchdown catches ( 95 ).

Adams is entering the third year of a five-year, $140M deal , though, so teams may lack the cap space to make room for his contract. Plus, the Raiders could ask for a sizeable package. In 2022, Vegas dealt two draft picks, including a first-rounder, to Green Bay for Adams.

While it appears Adams wants to stay in Vegas, he may change his mind if the Raiders stumble at the beginning of the season.

QBs Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew II are set to compete for the starting job, and it's unclear if either can spark a passing attack that finished 23rd in the league in yards ( 198.8 ) last season.
