SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Baystate Health has expanded its visiting hours.

According to Heather Duggan, manager of Public Relations for Baystate Health, as of July 15, all visiting hours at all of their hospitals are now 24 hours- 7 days a week.

Safe space summer program kicks off at Springfield College

Duggan said, “We recognize the critical role connecting with loved ones plays in the healing process and this new policy aligns with current practices and needs of the health system. Baystate Health does reserve the right to impose limitations on visitation for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to, clinical necessity, disruptive behavior, unsafe practices, reducing crowding and noise levels, and patient safety and comfort.”

Visitors should always check with any of their hospitals to verify if any policy changes have occurred. Information for patients and visitors can be found on the Baystate Health website.
