CHICAGO, IL – Kentucky State University Football returns to the Chicago Football Classic on September 21 against the Morehouse Maroon Tigers in Chicago, Illinois. the Frankfort, KY HBCU moves its September 21 home contest against Morehouse College to the historic Soldier Field for the 2024 Chicago Football Classic in Chicago, Illinois.
“This is a great opportunity for KSU’s football team. We are proud of our players and the amazing job they do. I support the guidance of our athletic director, Mr. Stepp, and KSU’s Chicago Alumni Chapter as they take part in the annual Chicago Football Classic.” Kentucky State University President Dr. Koffi C. Akakpo said.
“We are excited to compete in the 25th annual Chicago Football Classic allowing our student-athletes to compete in an historic NFL venue like Soldier Field. I can’t wait to join our amazing alumni fans in cheering our Thorobreds to victory!” Athletic Director Grant Stepp said.
The two HBCU programs met last season on Oct. 28 in Atlanta, Ga., with Kentucky State defeating Morehouse College 23-21.
