Janesville man arrested in domestic violence stalking case

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — Police in Janesville have arrested Shawn Ross, 47, who is accused of stalking a victim, both in-person and with electronic devices.

According to police, Ross was involved in a domestic relationship with the victim prior to the victim coming to authorities with safety concerns.

An investigation, which involved the use of an electronic detection K9, found evidence that Ross was monitoring the victim’s behavior.

Police executed a search warrant of Ross’ residence on Saturday and found a “large number of evidentiary items” that are still undergoing examination.

Ross has been charged with Domestic Violence Stalking, Misappropriation of Identification, and Theft of Mail (30 or more pieces).

He is being held at the Rock County Jail.
