Communities Unlimited (CU) has added a new resource for White Hall. Amanda McBride, a community facilitator at CU, is engaging with community members and officials, and working under a Rural Community Development Initiative (RCDI) grant from the USDA through 2026.

The Community Sustainability Team at CU partners with communities to create vibrant, sustainable economic opportunities by growing community assets, bringing resources and identifying partners.  McBride uses a community-led approach to find resources and solutions for communities.

White Hall Mayor Delmarte Bethel said, “Our collaboration with Communities Unlimited exemplifies the spirit of unity and progress that defines our small town. We are a small town with big dreams! Together we are building a stronger, more resilient community where every citizen and every voice matters. Our leadership and citizens are truly honored to be selected to further our work with Communities Unlimited. We are excited and looking forward to the work to come.”

McBride described her eagerness to get acquainted with the area and White Hall citizens.

“I’m excited to work with the great people in White Hall,” McBride said. “There are many great assets and opportunities for this community to build on. I can’t wait to learn what the community needs and how I can help.”

In addition to community sustainability, CU’s Environmental Services Team has been working on water system projects in White Hall, including two Community Facilities grants and a solid waste assessment.
