BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) – One local organization looked to address sewer and storm drain issues.

This meeting gave residents the opportunity to ask questions about storm water and sewer improvements throughout Beckley.

Jeremiah Johnson, General Manager of Beckley Sanitary Board, said flooding in Beckley has been an issue and they are looking for ways to improve it.

“We know that there has been a lot of interest in this project, in this neighborhood. This is a part of Beckley that has flooded for decades and has had a lot of sanitary sewer issues as well. The board over the last few years has made a commitment to get a project built that will address these community concerns,” said Johnson to 59News.
