Some dogs are born lovers. They get along with everyone and have a lot of heart. This is exactly the way Steve the Boxer lives his life and now, he finally has a new kitty companion to share it with!

The July 15 TikTok clip posted by @aboxernamedsteve shows the 6-year-old Boxer getting in a little snuggle time with his new baby brother. Watch the two of them adore each other!

"Our Boxer Steve finally has the cuddly kitty he always dreamed of. Our newest family member, ‘Mat Caderson,’ a Scottish Fold," the caption says. In the video, Steve lays on the couch with his baby brother. The Boxer is a gentle giant, blissful as the kitten stretches up toward him as he looks around with pure love in his eyes. These two are perfect for each other.

Of the more than 58,000 followers, many people agree that this kitten is blessed to have scored such a loving place in Steve's heart, while Steve found the one he can spend all his time snuggling with.

"If people could only love this way. So beautiful to see," one person wrote. "Such a lucky kitty…lots of love coming his way," another said. "Steve has finally found his soulmate," another added.

It's a beautiful sight, for sure and we're excited for their relationship to flourish.

Introducing a Kitten To Your Dog

Steve is a natural at welcoming new housemates, but not all dogs are. Some take a little more time to get used to someone new in their space. When introducing a kitten, Banfield Pet Hospital explains introducing a cat or kitten should be done slowly and safely so no one gets injured. It may seem obvious, but how do you do this?

First, keep your feline sectioned off in their own space with everything they need at first, and ideally, other cats or dogs in the home can sniff them from the other side. Give them a chance to get used to the idea of their presence before moving on.

Dogs should already know basic commands (and follow them!) in the even their enthusiasm gets out of hand. After they've been separated and gotten used to each others' scents, allow them to greet each other with your dog behind a gate or other barrier. Once this is going well, you can introduce them with your dog on a leash, still taking it slow. Never force their interaction and keep a close eye on any trepidation that could make them upset. Soon, they can interact without separation.

It may take a little time and a lot of patience, but dogs and cats can get along ! One day, they'll be just as close as Steve and Mat.
