General Hospital fans miss Sonny and Nina's 'superior chemistry' as they beg writers to 'fix this'

A past couple had a scene together in General Hospital and it gave some fans hope.

Sonny and Nina haven't been on the best terms since their divorce. But Sonny came by Nina's Crimson's office to talk to her on Tuesday's episode. Sonny informed Nina that he moved Ava out and that he was going to file for sole custody of his daughter, Avery, whom he shares with Ava. Sonny went on about how he saw right through Ava, which Nina agreed saying her eyes have been opened to who she really is.

As they continue their conversation centered on Ava, Sonny apologized for what Ava has done to Nina. Nina reflected how it was nice being friends with Ava before she played her and understood why Ava doesn't have friends. She called Ava a lying backstabber. Their conversation had Nina wondering why Sonny came in the first place which she asked him.

Sonny responded that Ava is filing a custody suit saying Sonny is mentally stable so he wanted to know if Nina was asked to testify what would she say, as she has been there for Sonny through tough times. Nina said that if she were to testify, she would say that Sonny is an "exemplary father" and that his daughter adores him.

Then Sonny acknowledged how things didn't end well between the two of them and how he could have down things different. He added that he was not just saying that because of the Ava custody situation. Before their scene ended, Sonny had one question for Nina about making amends: "If you can bury the hatchet with Drew after everything that’s happened. Can you do the same with me?"

Fans of the pairing, dubbed Sona, were happy to see the pair together again cordial and talking. One fan wrote on X formerly Twitter: "Get Nina back with Sonny. Give Nina a chance with Willow. No lies or scheme. Make it last. Get Drew out of her life." A second fan said: #Sona has superior chemistry over the nonsense they are trying to sell with Drew/Nina and Sonny/Natalia. FIX THIS writers! Another said: Sonny coming to see Nina... it has been a long time A fourth fan wrote: "Sonny has more work to do to deserve Nina again. He shut her out so coldly. Today was good, but we need more and we need to see it onscreen."
