    Here's when Union County schools open for 2024-25. Check your district calendar

    While school may not be a focus for children now, Union County schools are already readying to welcome them back for the 2024-2025 academic year.

    We peek at when Union County students are expected to head back to school and offer a quick link to the school calendar for each district. Most districts won't be ringing the school bell until after Labor Day.

    Barack Obama Green Charter High School District

    Barack Obama Green Charter High School District students in grades 9-12 begin school on Sept. 3 for the 2024-2025 school year.

    Berkeley Heights School District

    Berkeley Heights School District pre-K-12 students return on Sept. 3.

    College Achieve Central Charter School

    College Achieve Central Charter School students will go back to school on Aug. 30.

    Cresthaven Academy Charter School

    The Cresthaven Academy Charter School will welcome its Kindergarten students on Aug. 29, with grades 1-8 students coming back on Sept. 3.

    Kenilworth School District

    Kenilworth School District pre-K-12 students are back at their desks on Sept. 5.

    Linden School District

    Linden School District is set to reopen schools on Sept. 5 this year for pre-K-12 students

    New Providence School District

    New Providence School District pre-K-12 students will be back in class on Aug. 29.

    Plainfield School District

    Plainfield School District reopens on Sept. 5 for pre-K-12 students.

    Queen City Academy Charter School District

    Queen City Academy Charter School reopens for K-12 students on Sept. 5.

    Rahway School District

    Pre-K-12 students in Rahway School District will start the new academic year on Sept. 4.

    Roselle Borough School District

    Roselle Borough School District Pre-K-12 students will go back to school on Sept. 5.

    Roselle Park School District

    Roselle Park School District pre-K-12 students return to school on Sept. 5 and 6.

    Scotch Plains-Fanwood Regional School District

    Pre-K-12 students in the Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District will return to school on Sept. 5.

    Summit City School District

    Summit City School District's pre-K-12 students head back to class on Sept. 3.

    Union Catholic Regional High School

    Union Catholic Regional High School opens for the first day of school for all grade 9-12 students on Sept. 9.

    Union County Magnet High School

    Serving students in grades 9-12, Union County Magnet High School will reopen on Sept. 5.

    Union County Educational Services Commission School District

    Union County Educational Services Commission School District reopens for students on Sept. 6.

    Union County TEAMS Charter School-High School/College Leadership Academy

    Union County TEAMS Charter School-High School/College Leadership Academy is set to reopen schools for K-12 students on Sept. 5.

    Union County Vocational School District

    Serving students in grades 9-12, the Union County Vocational School District will reopen on Sept. 5.

    Westfield School District

    Westfield School District reopens on Sept. 5 for pre-K-12 students.
