Their statement reads , “We have been tirelessly working to complete the movie and release it on time. However, due to the remaining shoot and subsequent post-production work, we will not be releasing the film on August 15th, 2024.”

Despite the announcement, a report from 123telugu.com suggests that there are rumors of further postponement. According to the outlet, Allu Arjun is uncomfortable with the irregular shooting schedule. Additionally, he trimmed his beard, which is essential for his character in Pushpa, leading to a halt in filming. During this time, Allu Arjun took a European vacation with his family. Director Sukumar’s travel to the US has also caused further delays.

On the other hand, many fans have dismissed these speculations, claiming that Allu Arjun trimmed his beard for an upcoming project. However, it is important to note that the makers have not yet made an official statement regarding these rumors.

As of now, Pushpa 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on December 6, 2024.
