Top 2024 Open Championship predictions

One surprise: Jon Rahm, a 22-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. The 29-year-old Spanish superstar is a 20-time winner worldwide and a two-time major champion, winning the 2021 U.S. Open and the 2023 Masters. He's one of the game's elite ball strikers and he's hit a staggering 73.4% of greens in regulation while earning top-10 finishes in nine of the 12 events that he's played worldwide this season.

After earning low amateur honors at the 2016 U.S. Open, Rahm turned professional in the summer of 2016 and gave up an exemption to play at Royal Troon in the Open Championship. However, he still managed to qualify and went on to finish T-59, gaining valuable experience in his first British Open. He's since gone on to finish top-three at the Open Championship in two of the last three years and he'll be a serious threat to win it all at Royal Troon now that he's healthy again after missing the U.S. Open.
