It was a rough go for Gallus on the latest episode of NXT, having been the first to step up and challenge the reunion of The Rascalz that includes former NXT North American Champion Wes Lee remarrying his TNA teammates in the squared circle — also because of the appearance of Joe Hendry.

As Gallus attempted to handle business in the ring, Hendry made an entrance to provide commentary for his TNA compatriots, a move that took a bit of Gallus’ focus off of The Rascalz.

They’d go on to lose the match and while fuming backstage, they made the mistake of saying his name and, as always, the blonde-haired Scottish sensation appeared; and with a message for both them and the entire Black and Gold Brand.

“Hey don’t look at me, you guys said my name,” Hendry told Gallus. “ … Guys, I get it. You’ve been working hard for years, and I’d be upset too if someone just strolled in and became the most talked about superstar in all of NXT, but the reality is I’m sticking around. I like it here at NXT.”

This comes one week after Hendry teamed with Trick Williams and earned his first-ever NXT pinfall in a tag team match against Ethan Page and Shawn Spears — pinning Spears for the three-count.

It’s beginning to feel as if, factoring in the involvement of Jordynne Grace this summer in her Battleground title match against Roxanne Perez, that the tides are shifting toward a possible TNA Takeover scenario at NXT, but the next several weeks will be telling in this regard.

And especially with the Great American Bash arriving in less than two weeks.

“Maybe you guys would feel a little bit better if you believed in the answer to all of life’s problems: Joe Hendry,” said the TNA superstar.

Seems like sound advice, at this point.
