Liverpool fixtures and preseason schedule in full as Arne Slots gets first real look at players

Liverpool fans are itching to see the Reds back in action after two months without club football - but they won't have to wait long before Arne Slot's side embark on a preseason tour.

The Dutchman and his players will be traveling to the United States next week where they will put themselves to the test against different opposition, with three games already penciled in as the friendlies finally get underway.

A number of stars have returned to pre-season training over the past few weeks as excitement builds ahead of the new campaign, although a lack of fixtures has left fans desperate to see what Slot's new side are made of ahead of his first season in charge of the club.

While some players are yet to return to the AXA Training Center following their international exploits at Euro 2024 and the Copa America this summer, it's hoped some may be back in time for next week's trip across the pond .

Preseason friendlies against Spanish side Real Betis and Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United have been confirmed, along with the dates.

The Reds will take on Real Betis at the Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on Friday, July 26, to officially open their pre-season account. The La Liga outfit will provide a stern test for Slot in his opening game in charge, who will be keen to get off on the right track with a win.

The Dutchman will then take his squad to Philadelphia for their all-Premier League clash with Arsenal at the Lincoln Financial Field on Wednesday, July 31, before ending the USA tour at the Williams–Brice Stadium in Columbia on Saturday, Aug. 3, against the Red Devils.

As usual, there will be the annual friendly fixture at Anfield to round off pre-season preparations once Slot and his players have returned from the US. On Sunday, Aug. 11, they will face their second La Liga side of the summer when Sevilla come to Merseyside for a 12:30pm kick-off.
