Davante Adams is well on his way to becoming a Hall of Famer. The All-Pro receiver has dominated for over a decade now and is still one of the very best receivers in the league. But where does he rank among his peers going into the 2024 season?

In a recent article by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN , he spoke with dozens of NFL executives, coaches, and decision-makers and asked them to rank their top 10 wide receivers. Adams came in at No. 5 on the list, with multiple evaluators ranking him at No. 3. Here is a snippet from the piece:

“He’s still a blue-chipper,” an NFL personnel evaluator said. “Still can win on the outside and get you tough yards. But you wonder what you’re getting from him next year with the quarterback situation unsettled.”

Adams will be catching passes from second-year quarterback Aidan O’Connell or veteran free agent signing Gardner Minshew next year.

“Still really good but failed to make a few plays I’ve seen him make and it seemed he was playing through a few nicks and bruises at the end,” an AFC offensive coach said.

There was also at least one executive who did not rank Adams inside their top 10 receivers. Maybe it was an oversight, or maybe they simply didn’t watch much of Adams last season. But it’s hard to make a compelling case that Adams should be ranked anywhere outside the top five, let alone the top 10.

The Raiders are hopeful that Adams can be more productive this year with better quarterback play. But which quarterback will be throwing to Adams this season? That remains to be seen, but expect him to put up big numbers regardless.
