A heartwarming video has captured the adorable moment Princess Charlotte looked up at her mother Kate Middleton with a beaming smile during her second official outing this year at Wimbledon.

The Princess of Wales graced Wimbledon's All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club , where she was present for the men's singles final, witnessing Novak Djokovic face off against the young victor, 21-year-old Carlos Alcaraz. The appearance marked a poignant moment for Kate, who is undergoing cancer treatment .

Upon her arrival at Center Court, Kate received a warm welcome complete with applause and a standing ovation. It marks only the second time Kate has stepped out officially this year, following her initial appearance at King Charles' birthday parade last month.

Accompanied by her nine-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte, and her sister, Pippa Middleton, the trio headed to their seats in the Royal box. During this moment, Charlotte's charming reaction to the crowd's reception of Kate was caught on video, showing her grinning up at her mother, who responded with a smile and a wave before they settled in to watch Alcaraz triumph over 37-year-old Djokovic in straight sets.

Wimbledon photographers managed to capture the tender moment. One photographer, Karwai Tang, shared his experience with People , saying: "When [Kate] usually comes in, she walks down the steps and into her seat. She doesn't normally stand and wave.

"But she stood for a while and took it all in." He added: "For her to acknowledge it and take in the applause was special. She seemed to look no different from the last Wimbledon. It felt like she is back. For them to cheer and clap when they came in was a great support for her. Wimbledon had been waiting with bated breath for her to return, and she was back."

As for Charlotte's gleeful grinning towards her mother, Tang shared: "[Charlotte] skipped down the stairs and when she got back to her seat-she was laughing. She leaned over and must have told her mom what it was about, and they were giggling together and having a good old laugh."

Djokovic also offered warm words to Kate, who holds a patronage of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, remarking: "Yes, it was of course a privilege to be in her presence again. I've said to her that it is very nice to see her in good health. She seems to be in good health.

"That's obviously very positive news for everyone in this country but also for Wimbledon, for Championships to have Her Royal Highness here, of course with her family members. It's amazing. It's incredible support they've been giving over the years to this tournament."

He added: "I know that she and her sister have played tennis for a very long time. So they truly respect, admire the game. They also understand tennis, which is great. It's wonderful to have that kind of support from the Royal Family."
