    Power outage planned for parts of Pocahontas and Greenbrier counties

    POCAHONTAS COUNTY/GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — Two power outages are planned for parts of Pocahontas and Greenbrier counties for facility upgrades.

    Planned power outage to affect parts of Summers and Monroe counties

    One power outage will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, and around 600 customers in the Cass, Dunmore, Durbin, Green Bank, and Stony Bottom areas of Pocahontas County will be affected.

    The second power outage is scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This power outage will affect around 2,805 customers in the Buckeye, Hillsboro, Mill Point, and Seebert areas of Pocahontas County, and in the Renick area of Greenbrier County.

    The Town of Hillsboro and Watoga State Park will not be affected by the planned power outage. In case of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, the make-up day for the scheduled outage will be Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

    Planned road closure to take place in Fayette County

    Those who will be affected by the scheduled power outage will get an automated call to the phone number associated with their account.
