It's been more than three years since Jaguar Land Rover outlined its "Reimagine" strategy centered around electrification. The most controversial bullet point of the plan was Jaguar becoming EV-only by 2025. That brings us to a new announcement made by a JLR spokesperson in an interview with Automotive News Europe. Before the end of this year, the axe will fall on six cars.

That's a floor of $1.95M U.S. at current exchange rates, a barrier few but the super luxury and super sports car makers cross. McLaren's last Ultimate Series car, the Speedtail, asked $2.1M U.S. before options, as did the Bentley Batur, we can expect Ferrari's coming halo special to start even higher, and the Bugatti Mistral opens the bidding at $5.1M.
