When you think of bathroom colors, chances are that black isn't necessarily the first thing that comes to mind. But, after watching one woman's bathroom transformation video — where she deftly takes her home's beige bathroom and gives it a dark and moody makeover — you may find yourself seriously reconsidering.

Not only does it look extremely chic, but we're willing to bet that having a black bathroom has some serious perks, like creating the perfect spot for all of those OOTD selfies we all love to take!

It looks like the woman in the @rustoleumbrands video started off simply wanting to get rid of her 90s style tiles when inspiration hit. After a little bit of prep and some seriously great painting skills, she deftly covered those beige tiles with a coat of black and a cool white stencil, giving her bathroom and entirely new vibe.

All we want to know is how well will that paint job hold up to regular wear and tear? Because we'd really love to do this in our bathroom, too!

A lot of people shy away from painting their tile due to fears that either something will go wrong or that they'll end up with something that looks great to start but then quickly starts to chip, peel, or fade.

But, there are actually some methods that folks have used to paint their tiles with great success, creating the rooms of their dreams without having to drop a ton of money on a full renovation!

    How To Paint Tile

While this woman called her process a "temporary fix," she did explain everything you'll need in order to paint your bathroom's tile , including the shower and backsplash.

Considering the tools and materials required, this really is an affordable solution despite the short shelf life, which is why we think a lot of people may really benefit from giving it a try.

You'll need some paint that is specifically designed for using for tile (pro tip: if you're going to use this somewhere that will see a lot of water, you'll want to get paint that is rated for moisture), painters tape and plastic to protect the areas you don't want to get paint on, a roller, paintbrush, and a tiny brush for detail work.

Now, certain paints and places may require an extra step, like a layer of sealant, so follow the manufacturer's guidelines when tackling this job!

All in all, it looks like the OP got a pretty big payout for a little investment with her project. Now we just hope she paints that tub surround and then shares those results with us as well!
