Meet the rowdy pub parrot - who curses at customers, meows at dogs and shouts his favorite word "w * " whenever it's quiet.

The celebrity squawker named Frosty attracts visitors from all over the country hoping to be insulted and mocked by his foul-mouthed antics.

The 19-year-old African gray parrot made his first appearance at the Vyvyan Arms Hotel in Camborne, Cornwall, at just 18 months old.

Having lived with owner Scott Sowden, 57, for 17 and-a-half years to date, the cheeky parrot has now earned celebrity status amongst locals and visitors.

Scott said: "Frosty was originally my mother's and was purchased from a local breeder here in Camborne.

"She was allergic to the dust given off by Frosty and she gave him to us about 17 1/2 years ago.

"His favorite word is ‘w***er', it's affectionate.

“We had the Conservative club in the other week, 12 of them sat on tables next to him and he wouldn’t stop saying it."

Frosty has built up his popularity through his 'cheeky' reputation - often making visitors laugh and attracting fans of all ages.

Scott, who says he was once offered $3,900 for Frosty, explained: "He has visits randomly of people just coming in to say hello.

"The locals and most residents love him.

"Quite a few have wanted to buy him!

"Frosty has a couple come in every Friday and sit with him and gives him treats and another couple comes in on Saturday's.

"People just start laughing when he goes on one, especially when they hear him for the first time.

"He will also take the micky out of you coughing and laughing."

Frosty is well-loved by the hotel staff too, including Scott's wife, Billy, 55. The pair have been running the Vyvyan Arms for around 29 years.

Billy was also the licensee and was a barmaid at the hotel before the couple took it on - and has been there for almost 38 years.

The couple says their parrot's humor knows no bounds - as Scott explains how Frosty teases other animals and humans alike.

He said: "We don't allow dogs in, but on the occasion we do Frosty doesn't really like them and he will torment them by meowing."

Though Scott says many amusing memories come from times Frosty has not sworn - as he recalls

"One night we had a duo band (Two for the Road) here and we had a back drop in front of Frosty.

"They started up with their first number and stopped because of feedback, one of the guys, Andy, got down on his knees and started checking out the wires.

"They started singing again and stopped again as there was more feedback - and then started singing again and they stopped again - while on his knees, Andy said there's nothing wrong with the wires.

"Then we heard Frosty shreeked out just like feedback and that was the cause of it.

    "Everyone was in stitches."
